Do you know what acupressure is? That word comes from two words; aku, which means needle, and presura, which means pressure. Acupressure is often associated with acupuncture, it is very similar and related, but we think you might really like this. By stimulating certain points with the thumb, forefinger or some other, blunt object, we achieve a feeling of comfort. During the massage, energy is triggered that heals the organs and gives energy. In the text, you will read all the essential items of acupressure – proven efficacy. Energize your body and make your mind aware, and we hope that this text will help you decide on such a thing.

For more details, please continue reading the article below.

Acupressure comes from traditional Chinese medicine and is based on the same principle as acupuncture, from which it is derived. But how do these healing methods differ? In acupressure, the energy points of the body are not stimulated with needles, but by applying pressure with the fingers or a pen. Acupressure, also called digipuncture, is suitable for people of all ages and makes it possible to rebalance the organism and strengthen vital functions. It is particularly good for relieving pain and inflammation, reducing stress, relaxing and improving mood. The special thing about this natural healing method is that it can be practised with a specially trained therapist or quite comfortably at home in the form of self-massage.

How does it work?

According to Chinese medicine, the human body has more than twenty energy channels called meridians. They are connected to some of the most important organs. Their stimulation makes it possible to rebalance the organism and maintain the harmony of body and mind. When the nodes of these meridians are blocked, an imbalance occurs that can cause various symptoms. This is where acupressure comes in, combining the principles of massage and acupuncture, without the use of needles. By applying pressure to precise points, they connect to an internal organ through a network of meridians and allow the life energy to be balanced. Pressure is applied to each point for 15 to 30 seconds. Although relief is usually felt immediately, the difficulty is finding the points to treat.

Numerous books describe in detail the points that need to be stimulated according to individual needs. One of the best known points for fatigue is between the eyebrows. Place your index finger one centimetre above the centre of the eyebrows and slowly massage counterclockwise. With this powerful acupressure point, the energies of the body can be revitalised in a natural way.
